Buses

We have never travelled by bus in Cyprus. There are buses, but not like in the UK. They are much smaller, and I understand less frequent. In Polis it is possible to catch a bus on the outskirts of the town, near the official Cyprus tourist information office. This bus will take you to Paphos.

There are no buses to take you from Paphos Airport direct to Polis, or the surrounding villages, so don't expect to get to the Paphos Airport and find a cheap bus to take you to your accommodation. A taxi, airport transfer or hiring a car are the only real options.

The buses operate Monday to Saturday. The services begin at 5.00am (weekdays), and 6.00am on a Saturday. The services do however stop at 6.00pm. They run almost hourly. These times are subject to change and you would be best advised to check before your journey.
