Charter Flights - From the UK

My general advice is that if you are travelling to Cyprus and you are travelling during the school, or around the same time as the school holidays, then you are probably going to better off with the schedule airlines, and booking well in advance. We now only ever travel during the school holidays, and availability is very limited around these times both through the charter and schedule airlines. I have seen tickets through charter airlines at around the £400 per ticket for a charter flight at these times of year. But if you can avoid travelling during or around the school holidays then you can pick up really cheap flights to Cyprus, for less than £100 - for both charter and schedule flights.

There are a large number of tour operators who operate "flight only" flights to Cyprus. Price tends to be cheaper the closer to departure date - i.e. if you book last minute. The difficulty is you then have to be flexible with times, which is difficult if you have to time the flight with a villa booking or other accommodation.

You need to be aware that sometimes, even if you are booking "last minute" that there will not be cheap flights, as many charter flight companies will put up their prices for flights if there only a few seats left and they expect to sell them at a higher price. 

If you want to fly during school holidays then you will find cheap flights difficult to come by. Our experience has shown that during school holidays there is no such thing as a cheap flight anywhere - including Cyprus especially if you are travelling as a group.

The most well known charter airlines who fly to Cyprus are Thomson Flights, JMC, Air2000, Monarch, Eurocypria, and Excel Airways. For people living outside of London charter airlines do hold an advantage as many of them fly from regional airports.
